HOW DOES REMOTE SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION WORK? - Speaker -the voice and image of the speaker are streamed live to a remote interpreter on a computer.
- Interpreter(s) – the interpreter(s) can hear and see the speaker on their computer. Using quality headsets and microphones, they translate the speaker’s language into another language in real time (simultaneously).
- Remote Simultaneous Interpretation Platform – the interpreter’s speech is transmitted to a Remote Simultaneous Interpretation platform through their computers.
- Participants – the participants can connect to the Remote Simultaneous Interpretation platform on their computers or other devices.

WHY REMOTE SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION CAN BE A GOOD THING Just like for everyone else, coronavirus has had a huge impact on our work. Lockdowns in all countries in the world have meant that people aren’t traveling to meetings and conferences. However, there is still a need for international communication and language barriers must be broken down, but we can’t force everyone to speak Spanish or English even though these are two of the most widely spoken languages globally. This is where we come in. We’re here to meet the demand for international communication and overcome language barriers. | RAZÓN POR LA QUE LA INTERPRETACIÓN SIMULTÁNEA A DISTANCIA PUEDE SER ÚTIL Así como para todos los demás, el coronavirus ha tenido un gran impacto en nuestro trabajo. Los cierres en todos los países del mundo han hecho que la gente no pueda viajar a reuniones y conferencias. Sin embargo, aún existe la necesidad de que haya comunicación internacional y las barreras lingüísticas deben ser derribadas, pero no podemos obligar a todos a hablar español o inglés, a pesar de ser dos de los idiomas más utilizados a nivel global. SIMULTANEOUS OR CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETATION We can provide simultaneous interpretation during your international meeting – this means that we interpret what the speaker and participants say in real time, in other words at the same time as they are saying it. In this way we will not interrupt the natural flow of the speaker. Consecutive interpretation takes place when a person speaks and then pauses so that the interpreter can reproduce what has been said in the target language. It takes twice as long as simultaneous interpretation since everything has to be said twice, as well as being monotonous for participants who speak both languages and much less dynamic for interaction in general. | INTERPRETACIÓN SIMULTÁNEA O CONSECUTIVA Podemos proporcionar interpretación simultánea durante su reunión internacional, lo que significa que interpretamos lo que el orador y los participantes hablan en tiempo real, es decir, al mismo tiempo en que lo dicen. De esta manera no interrumpimos el flujo natural del orador. La interpretación consecutiva se da cuando una persona habla y luego hace una pausa para que el intérprete pueda reproducir lo que se ha dicho en el idioma de destino.
